MacBook Pro OLED Touchpad Photos Leaked by Supplier
It appears MacBook Pro keyboards will come with OLED touch panels after all, Cult of Mac has leaked photos of the OLED panel enhanced notebooks, which it obtained from an Apple supplier.
Due to copyright issues, LEDinside cannot directly upload the photos from Cult of Mac, but photos of the images can be found here.
According to the Cult of Mac report, the photos was sent by an anonymous source who is a partner for one of Apple’s manufacturing partners in China, the picture reveals the function keys on top of the keyboard could house an OLED touchpad.
Further details of the OLED touchpad design and implied changes in the Apple Macbook Pro design, such as the rearrangement of USB-C ports can also be found in the report.
In late May, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities, projected the OLED touchpad would be an upcoming feature in the new MacBook Pro.
At the time he projected the OLED touchpad updates would be expected in the new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models that were going to be launched during fourth quarter of 2016.
