ChiMei Innolux Corp Showcases New OLED Panels at FPD China 2011

ChiMei Innolux Corp has showcased 3.2- and 3.5-inch OLED panels for smartphones and mobile phones at FPD China 2011, which was held from March 15 to 17, 2011, in Shanghai, China.

With the method of using a white OLED material and red, green, blue and white color filters has been developed by LG Display Co Ltd and Eastman Kodak Co. ,the pixel counts of the 3.2- and 3.5-inch panels are 320 x 480 and 360 x 640, respectively. The number of subpixels per pixel increases by one-third.

The brightness and contrast ratio of the 3.2- and 3.5-inch panels are 300cd/m2 and 30,000:1 or higher, respectively.
 
Their viewing angle is 160° in both the vertical and horizontal directions. The 3.2- and 3.5-inch panels have 100% and 87% (on average) color gamuts, respectively, on NTSC standards.
