Hot Picks of the Week Dec. 1 - Dec. 5

Another Chinese LED manufacturer has gone missing and we're not surprised. In fact, LED industry has underwent massive restructuring during past months. Moreover, overall market demands in 4Q is fairly low, with Epistar, Lextar, SemiLEDs and other major manufacturers reported sliding revenues. Asian manufacturers have taken their own paths to confront the tide of change. Meanwhile in U.S., Cree reported impacted by price war strategies.

Rumours has it that Foxconn might be iPhone 7 Sapphire Display Supplier. At least there's a thing we're sure about Foxconn - the company is slowly building its LED lighting brand. Everlight's Chairman Yeh refutes market rumours claiming the company had received Philips OEM orders. Last but not least, Rohini, an Idaho-based company claims to hold the technology to print the world's thinnest LED lighting, with potential application being illuminating lampshades that would not require additional light sources or bulbs.
