Lextar’s Reports Slight Revenue Growth for 2014

Taiwanese LED manufacturer Lextar reported incremental revenue growth in December 2014, according to a latest United Daily News (UDN) report.

The company revenue in December 2014 was up 3.2% to NT $1.12 billion (US $35 million) compared to November, or 2.5% year-on-year (YoY) growth. In 4Q14, the company’s consolidated revenue reported minor 0.2% YoY growth to NT $3.33 billion. Lextar’s annual revenue growth for 2014 slightly increased to 5.6% compared to 2013.

The traditional industry slack season in 4Q14 contributed to sliding revenues, but there were minor revenue rebounds last December, said Lextar. Backlight LED products reached new and old product transition phase, with newer product models to be shipped in 1Q14. However, lighting products continued to deliver stellar performances. Lighting products, such as ET8 electrical ballasts compatible LED tubes, have been shipped to top lighting manufacturing clients. In addition, the manufacturer has shipped ultra-thin LED panels to European luminaire clients, and were well received on the market.
