AUO Boosts Its Revenue in July with Panel Price Bounce Back

During the second quarter of this year, many panel producers reported profit drop due to oversupply. However, as the third quarter began, AUO has announced its increased revenue for July with panel price bouncing back and rising shipments.

AUO registered a revenues of NT$25.80 billion (US$843.39 million) for July, up by 3.9% MoM and down by 8.5% YoY. According to the company, shipments for large size panels (10-inch and above) including LCD TVs, desktop monitors and notebook PCs was 9.79 million units in July with an increase of 1.6% MoM. Small and middle size panel shipments exceeded 15.54 million units, up by 14.5% MoM.

AUO anticipated that the large size panel shipments will increase by 5% and shipments for small and middle size panels will grow over 10% for the third quarter. As AUO has also scheduled to launch Mini LED gaming monitors, the company holds an optimistic market outlook for the next quarter.
