According to Kampmann, the plant will be manufacturing 6-inch wafer-based general LED lighting, by which he means lighting for hi-tech applications such as horticultural lighting. The manufacture in the factory will be digitized to raise its operational efficiency and output. It is also suggested in the video that the capacity of the Kulim plant will be massive enough to support the lighting transformation to LED in major cities.
