Valeo has been honored with the “Special Award” at the 2026 Renault Group Supplier Awards, recognizing its outstanding contribution as a key technology and innovation partner.

Driving innovation, speed and competitiveness through a strengthened partnership
The award was presented by Anthony Plouvier, Chief Procurement Officer of Renault Group, during a ceremony attended by Renault Group CEO François Provost.

This distinction highlights Valeo’s long-standing and strengthened partnership with Renault Group, as well as its significant contributions to performance and innovation. Renault Group particularly recognized Valeo for contributing to sustainable variable cost reduction, leveraging its global footprint, and accelerating development timelines and market entry. Valeo was also acknowledged as a key player in advancing innovation and time-to-market, particularly in the field of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV).

“Innovation, speed and trust are at the heart of our partnership with Renault Group. We are proud to receive this Special Award, which reflects the strength of a collaboration that has grown stronger year after year,” said Christophe Périllat, Chief Executive Officer of Valeo. “In a time of unprecedented transformation for our industry, partnerships like the one we share with Renault Group are essential to overcome challenges and create opportunities. We are honored by their trust and fully committed to going even further together in technology, performance, speed and competitiveness.”

“Valeo’s performance reflects the innovation, speed, and resilience we value in our partners,” said Anthony Plouvier, Chief Procurement Officer of Renault Group. “Their contributions strengthen our collective performance, accelerate development, and help us build a sustainable and resilient value chain. Congratulations to the Valeo team for this well-deserved recognition.”

Valeo is a key partner of Renault Group in several strategic domains, including electrification, Software-Defined Vehicles and lighting systems, supporting the Group’s ambition to deliver innovative, sustainable and competitive mobility solutions.

Valeo and Renault Group have signed a strategic partnership to jointly develop the electrical and electronic architecture of next-generation Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV). This architecture will enable vehicles to remain continuously up to date throughout their life cycle and to integrate new functionalities without hardware modifications. As part of this collaboration, Valeo supplies key components such as the High-Performance Computer and contributes to software development, supporting Renault Group in strengthening its technology ecosystem alongside partners such as Google and Qualcomm.

In the field of lighting, Valeo has played a key role in the revival of the iconic Renault 5 E-Tech electric, working closely with Renault’s design and engineering teams to create its distinctive front and rear lighting signature. The front lighting integrates Valeo’s lightweight “Monolag” reflector module with embedded electronics, combined with a unique 3D signaling function enabled by transparent micro-optics. At the rear, full LED lamps reinterpret the model’s iconic vertical styling with a retro-futuristic design, while enhancing aerodynamics and contributing to increased vehicle range.

Valeo also supplies the wiper system for the Renault 5 E-Tech electric, contributing to optimal visibility and driving safety.

This recognition underscores the shared commitment of Valeo and Renault Group teams worldwide to build a strong, forward-looking partnership focused on innovation and operational excellence.
