OLED Association Praised Samsung's Dr. Ho Kyoon Chung's Dedication

According to the managing director of OLED Association, Barry Young, Samsung choose Dr. H. K. Chung to lead the start-up of their OLED program.

Due to Chung's contributions to the whole OLED community as well as his leadership in R&D and manufacturing of OLED displays for Samsung SDI, the predecessor to Samsung Mobile Displays (SMD), Young presented Chung with the first Annual OLED Leadership Award before the twelfth annual OLED World Summit.

It's said that Dr. Chung is chair professor of Sungkyunkwan University and full-time Advisor to Samsung SMD.

He was an Executive Vice President of Samsung SDI and head of Samsung SDI Corporate R&D Center from 2006 to 2008.And he led the R&D for Active Matrix OLED (AMOLED) since 2000 and is a world leader in bringing the AMOLED technology into the commercial market.

Prior experience includes managing director of memory product engineering and manufacturing technology center at Samsung Electronics, Semiconductor Business from 1988 to 1999.

About the OLED Association (OLED-A)
OLED-A serves its membership by fostering the more rapid development of OLED technologies and products; serving as a resource on OLED markets and products for media and investors; functioning as a catalyst in the development of standards for OLEDs; and providing a forum to promote and market OLED technology products.
