US Lighting Tech Supports Induction Outdoor Lighting for Two University Campuses

Irvine, Calif.-based US Lighting Tech has been selected as the commercial lighting provider for the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay and the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) campuses.

For the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay, USLT installed the company’s patented Jersey Series Induction Streetlights and its Parker Shoebox Fixture parking lot lights, which offer multiple advantages over traditional High Intensity Discharge  systems.

The UCLA campus also chose USLT’s Jersey Series Induction Streetlights to offer better cross-area illumination and to keep primary campus thoroughfares well lit while still being much more energy efficient.

USLT induction – with its more natural white light quality – delivers a safer alternative to keep university campus walk-ways, plazas, streets, and parking areas  more brightly lit to prevent crime.

Additionally, the technology also offers budget conscious campus managers an industrial-grade lighting system that will require little to no maintenance during its 100,000 rated hour life cycle.
