REFOND Invests 183 Million Yuan to Expand SMD LED Project

REFOND Optoelectronics (hereinafter referred to "REFOND") announced on evening of July 5 that in view of the predictions on the future LED market and the existing orders demand of customers, REFOND intends to invest its own funds of 183 million Yuan to expand its main business SMD LED project.

The construction content of this expansion project is to develop middle-size and large-size LCD backlight LED devices with annual output of 504KK, LED lighting devices with an annual production of 5918KK, automotive electronics and other devices with an annual capacity of 1500KK, while expanding automotive electronics and other LED devices, the construction period of this expansion is from July 1 of 2013 to June 30 of 2014.

REFOND said the expansion project will further enhance the company's overall strength in the LED packaging industry, consolidate and prominent the leading position in the middle-size and large-size LCD backlight LED, LED lighting market segments.
