PG&E Urges Consumers to Make LED Switch with Rebates Promo

Since you’ll already be changing your clocks this weekend for Daylight Savings Time, why not install new light bulbs at the same time you’re changing your batteries in your smoke detectors? Pacific Gas and Electric Co. (PG&E) is reminding customers that they can save money – up to US $7 per bulb – on Advanced LED light bulbs with in-store rebates at participating home improvement retailers.

PG&E’s Chief Customer Officer Laurie Giammona said, “PG&E’s Advanced LED lighting rebates are great for families who want to save money and improve the quality of light in their homes while being more energy efficient.”

PG&E has launched a rebates program to encourage consumers to install LED luminaires. (PG&E/LEDinside)

Advanced LED light bulbs use about 75 percent less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs and offer a supreme light quality that makes rooms look and feel great.

PG&E is encouraging customers to stop and take advantage of PG&E’s instant rebates and embrace the long-term cost savings they provide. Advanced LED light bulbs are designed to last 20 years or longer and are backed by a five-year manufacturer warranty. They offer many other benefits over incandescent and fluorescent types; they’re non-toxic, dimmable, cool to the touch and offer instant brightness and brilliant color and warmth that looks better in any room.

To find these instant rebates, look for PG&E’s Advanced LED emblem on eligible products at home improvement stores throughout Northern and Central California. PG&E is partnering with major retailers such as Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, Costco and 99 Ranch Market to give customers instant rebates and make the Advanced LEDs easy to spot on store shelves. To find a participating store, visitwww.pge.com/advancedLED and look for PG&E’s Advanced LED signage in the lighting section.

The Advanced LED emblem signifies products that meet or exceed a voluntary California Energy Commission quality and performance standard for LED light bulbs. Advanced LED bulbs offer enhanced color, efficiency, durability and other features important to customers. Lighting manufacturers created the Advanced LED light bulb to specifically meet California’s highest standards in energy-efficient home lighting.
