Apple Rumored To be Equipping MacBook Pro with OLED Touch Bar on Keyboards

Apple might overhaul the 12-inch MacBook Pro design later this year by making the notebook thinner and lighter, by integrating a Touch ID support and an OLED display touch bar above the keyboard, reported 9 to 5 Mac.

The report was based a new note from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities, and the media’s sources.

Kuo’s report explains the MacBook Pro updates will be the highlight of Apple’s 2016 rollouts, and is expected to come in 13-inch and 15-inch model during fourth quarter this year.

The OLED display touch bar will replace physical function keys along the top of the keyboard, while the design will adopt new metal injection molded hinges, the report noted.

Among Apple’s new product lineup, the company will be upgrading its 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros, Apple will also introduce a new 13-inch MacBook similar to that of the 12-inch Retina model that was upgraded.
