MSI launches its Second Notebook with Mini LED Display

On June 7, MSI launched a series of new mobile workstations, including the WS76, WS66, WE76, WF76, WF66 models.

The new WS76 is MSI’s second notebook that adopts the Mini LED backlight technology. The new product is packed with a 4K Mini-LED HDR1000-certified monitor and driven by the 11th Gen Intel® CoreTM i9 processor and NVIDIA RTXTM A5000 graphics. The notebook comes with two sizes, the 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch models.

Unlike the overwhelming Mini-LED-backlit TVs, notebooks using the Mini LED technology have been rare. As early as in January last year, MSI unveiled its Creator 17, the world’s first notebook with a Mini-LED-backlit monitor, at CES 2020. In May this year, Acer joined the competition by releasing the Predator Triton 500 SE, a notebook featuring the same type of display technology.

Reportedly, Acer’s Predator Triton 500 SE¬ comes with a 165Hz WQXGA Mini LED monitor with 1,250 nits of brightness.
