Daktronics of Brookings, South Dakota, partnered with Morlin Asset Management to deliver a large-scale LED video display at Los Angeles Union Station, one of the busiest transportation hubs in the United States, ahead of a high-profile sporting event held near the station.
The display serves as a focal point within the historic station. Spanning approximately 16 feet tall and nearly 100 feet wide, it creates a large-scale LED canvas with multiple content zones, enabling the presentation of event-related programming, advertising and transit information across three distinct viewing areas. To maintain the architectural integrity of the station, a truss system was installed to support the LED display within the space, enabling the display to be movable.
Morlin Asset Management approached Daktronics in December 2025 seeking a flexible, high-impact display solution capable of adapting to changing content needs. Daktronics hosted demonstrations of multiple pixel pitch options for Morlin and LA Metro representatives in January 2026. The project moved quickly from concept to installation, becoming operational on June 1.
Daktronics provided the LED display hardware, including the mounting system and processing technology for the installation, delivering a solution designed for reliability and visual performance in a high-traffic environment.

“This project required fast coordination and execution to meet a tight timeline,” said Spencer Degen, Daktronics vice president of transportation. “From initial concept through installation, teams worked together to deliver a flexible display solution that supports a variety of content and enhances the experience at Union Station.”
Morlin Asset Management led the project coordination effort, bringing together stakeholders and managing implementation details to deliver the installation on schedule.
