Pixelligent Technologies Receives US $1.25 M Solid State Lighting Award from DOE

Pixelligent Technologies announced today that it has been selected for a Department of Energy (DOE) solid-state-lighting award to support the continued development of its OLED lighting application. The details of the award can be viewed on the DOE SSL website: //www1.eere.energy.gov/buildings/ssl/fundopps_061214.html. Pixelligent and its partner OLEDWorks were selected as one of only nine awardees nationwide for this US$1.25 million DOE award.

Osram Sylvania Opens Clean Lab LED center

Osram Sylvania has opened an expanded, multi-million dollar Clean Lab LED center on April 8 that is dedicated to solid-state lighting research in Beverly, Massachusetts. Osram received $2M award in US DOE Solid State Lighting Research and Development Program last month. And the award will allow the company to fund an LED replacement for a halogen MR-16 spotlight and research on phosphors for white LEDs.
