EVERLIGHT Introduces Energy Efficient Color Sensor for Displays

EVERLIGHT ELECTRONICS, a leading player in the global LED and optoelectronics industry, announces the introduction of the company’s first RGB integrated color sensor. Based on CMOS technology and therefore able to operate at a minimum supply voltage of 1.7 volts, the CLS-16D17-34-DF6 adjusts the brightness of display equipment with less power consumption than comparable color sensor devices which almost all operate at a minimum of 2.7 volts.

Foxconn Begins Sample Production of Sapphire Substrate Cover iPhones

Apple OEM partner Foxconn’s Lunhua factory in Shenzhen has begun test assembly of sapphire substrate display cover iPhones, according to Chinese-language Apple Daily report. Foxconn has packaged 100 sapphire substrate display cover phones. Despite the small number assembled it is a huge development for Foxconn.
