San’an Optoelectronics (San’an Opto) has big plans to become a force to be reckoned with both domestically and internationally. The company is expanding production capacity, releasing announcements one after another, according to a Money DJ report.

Taiwanese LED chip manufacturer Genesis Photonics Inc. (GPI) has released their fiscal 2013 financial report. Revenue in 4Q13 benefited from introduction of flip-chips into street lights, lifting the company out of eight consecutive quarters of losses. In addition, improvements to product portfolio have drove up profit margin. 

Taiwanese manufacturers could soon see an increase in flip-chip shipments as Samsung begins to purchase LED flip-chips from Taiwanese manufacturers.

Chinese LED chip manufacturer Elec-Tech has been seeking partnership with Taiwan-based manufacturers. Regarding forming partnerships with Chinese LED die manufacturers, Genesis Photonics Inc. (GPI) is open to discussion, as long as it benefits the industry, company, and stockholders,  said GPI Chairman David Chung.
