Driven by the deeper integration of AI into wearables and strong momentum from up by tech giants, market intelligence firm TrendForce projects that global AR glasses shipments will surge to 950,000 units in 2026, marking a 53% YoY leap. However, as the novelty wears off, consumers are taking a closer look at the practical value and AI-powered experiences these devices offer. To meet growing market expectations and unlock the next stage of growth, brands must strike a balance between ergonomic comfort, affordability, and a comprehensive content ecosystem.
TrendForce recently had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Li Binbin, Vice President of Guangli Technology, to learn more about the company’s latest AR sports glasses offerings and technological advancements.

Mr. Li Binbin, Vice President of Guangli Technology
Founded in 2017 in Hangzhou on the shores of West Lake, Guangli Technology is a high-tech company rooted in holographic AR display technology, with a focus on consumer-grade AR glasses products. The company’s mission is to “make smart glasses the new organ of human being.” Its founding team hails from top-tier domestic and international institutions, including Zhejiang University, Cornell University, and the University of Delaware, while its R&D team maintains a relentless pursuit of “self-supporting and controllable core technologies.” Guangli Technology has been dedicated to the R&D and innovation of holographic technology and AI+AR sports glasses, continuously driving the deployment of augmented reality technology in sports applications, such as swimming and outdoor activities.
Developing In-house Holographic Resin Waveguide Technology
Through years of development, Guangli Technology has mastered end-to-end core technologies encompassing holographic simulation, photoresist materials, lithography processes, and production equipment. Leveraging this comprehensive platform, the company has successfully launched ready-to-wear AR devices.
Guangli's holographic resin waveguides offer superior optical efficiency. This distinct advantage enables greater flexibility in selecting light engines for end products. Moreover, these waveguides can combine with more cost-effective Micro-OLED microdisplays, substantially reducing the retail price of AR end products and accelerating mass-market adoption.
In addition to high efficiency, Guangli’s holographic resin waveguides demonstrate strong feasibility for mass production. The company notes that, even as market demand continues to rise, its manufacturing capacity has not yet encountered any bottlenecks.
Guangli’s proprietary holographic photoresist materials can be used process both monochromatic and full-color all-in-one waveguides, achieving a field of view (FOV) exceeding 30° on a single waveguide. Furthermore, leveraging multilayer photoresist techniques, the FOV can be further expanded to 40° or greater.
Introducing Holoswim 3 AR Smart Swimming Goggles

Holoswim 3 AR smart swimming goggles, developed by Guangli Technology
Guangli Technology recently unveiled the Holoswim 3, the latest generation of its stylish AR smart swimming goggles, featuring optimizations and upgrades across multiple fronts compared to its predecessor.
Powered by key technological breakthroughs, the Holoswim 3 adopts a symmetrical exterior design. This not only elevates its aesthetics but also brings its form factor much closer to standard swimming goggles. Additionally, the new model maintains a 70g weight while boosting the diagonal FOV to 28°. Notably, the Holoswim 3 delivers a 64x128 resolution with a portrait-mode display, aligning more closely with how consumers normally interact with their smartphone screens.
The Holoswim 3 integrates multiple functions in one device, including real-time underwater data display, GPS route tracking, and navigation, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor swimming. This is why the product carries the tagline: “Wearable Transformer: Essential Gear for Every Triathlete.”
Alongside the Holoswim 3, Guangli Technology also rolled out the Holotrek outdoor smart sports glasses and the SollaWave AI music goggles.
Looking into the future
Guangli’s holographic resin waveguide technology delivers exceptional safety performance, making it a natural fit for sports applications. Looking ahead, the company said it is committed to becoming a leading smart sports eyewear manufacturer, with plans to launch specialized products covering a broader range of scenarios, including smart cycling sunglasses, smart ski goggles, and smart diving masks. Meanwhile, leveraging its own technology platform, Guangli Technology will empower traditional eyewear manufacturers by building a diverse partnership portfolio, enabling them to transition toward AI-powered applications and driving large-scale upgrades across the industry.
