New Pedestrian Tunnel with Integrated Art-wall to Open at King’s Cross

A new 90m long pedestrian tunnel with LED integrated art-wall will open at King’s Cross at the end of June. The tunnel has been designed by Allies & Morrison and will link St Pancras International and King’s Cross St Pancras Underground stations to King’s Cross’ public spaces, restaurants, offices and homes, via One Pancras Square.

Gallery at Boston Historic Museum of Natural History Majestically Lit Up with LEDs

This majestic, historic building now houses Restoration Hardware’s Flagship Store. After sitting empty for years, façades and roofs were restored and a vibrant, new use of the building’s interior was realized. Now a retail establishment, treatment as a monument, true color and daytime concealment were critical requirements. All façade lighting fixtures are completely concealed, evoking the desired “light from nowhere” look. Though 95 percent of this lighting is LED, multiple high-CRI source types are employed to accommodate the building and owner’s varied finishes, colors and proportions.

 When LPL Financial, the nation’s largest independent broker/dealer, an RIA custodian and an independent consultant to retirement plans, began envisioning a new zero net energy (ZNE) office building, it set four strategies to drive the project—energy efficiency, health and wellness of employees, connectivity and flexibility. Philips Color Kinetics Lights up Historic 8 Northumberland Avenue

8 Northumberland Avenue's history is as colorful as the LED fixtures that now illuminate it. Built in 1887, the building operated as a 500-room first-class hotel until 1940, when it was requisitioned by the War Office. The building remained occupied by the Crown and inaccessible to the public until 2007, when it underwent a year-long, full-fledged restoration.
