The Newly Added ErP Instruction Issued by EU has Brought Resistance to the Export of LED Lamps

Recently, the Eco-design Directive Regulations Committee of EU Commission has conducted a discussion on the bill about the directional lights and all LED lights and related equipments; a related ErP Directive has been newly added on the mandatory CE certification of the lamps and luminaries.

These ErP instructions include 1194/2012/EC directive (directional bulbs, LED bulbs, and other related equipments) and 874/2012/EC directive (energy-efficient label instructions issued by EU eco-design Directive Regulations Committee for bulbs and lamps). Applicable products will involve directional compact fluorescent lamp, other directional lights (in addition to LED light, CFL and high-pressure gas discharge lamp), non-directional bulbs and directional LED bulb and so on.

EU has set up new regulations, on the part of the Chinese LED lighting export enterprises, the newly issued regulations are resistance, but in other words, it also is an opportunity to increase their own influence and share in the foreign market.
