China Mainland to Sign High Technologies Standardization MOU with Taiwan

Reportedly, Chinese Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology Xi Guohua will sign industrial Standardization MOU with Chairman of the non-profit Sinocon Industrial Standards Foundation, R.L. Chen, a former economics minister, who represents Taiwan`s counterparts for three high technologies including LED, LCD panel and solar energy  in both sides of the Taiwan Straits.

As LED plays a pivotal role in the mainland’s12th Five Year Development Plan, the two sides this time will sign agreements to set up common standards for LED indoor and outdoor lighting, LED lighting for mass-transportation vehicles, and LED lighting fixtures. The standardization pacts will help pave the way for Taiwan`s manufacturers to enter the vast mainland market, according to Taiwan`s industry watchers.

For LCD, the two sides will sign agreements on LCD TVs, Smart TVs, LCD monitors, or 3D TVs.
