LSG to Supply LED lighting for BSES Rajdhani

Sources inform that Lighting Science Group (LSG) will cooperate with BSES Rajdhani Power in the area of LED lighting.

Both LSG and power distribution company BSES Rajdhani have entered into an agreement for the collaboration, where the two entities would "explore avenues to demonstrate and promote energy efficiency using the next generation LED lighting".

According to BSES Rajdhani CEO Gopal Saxena said in a statement, scope of the association would also involve conducting field trials of various LED based lighting options, such as making LED products available at competitive prices for its customers.

It’s said that Indian LED lighting market is expected to be worth about Rs 2,000 crore by 2015. Last year, the market was worth around Rs 225 crore.
