Intematix Introduces Red Nitride Phosphor for LED Lighting

Intematix introduces its XR Series of red nitride phosphors for use in extending the color spectrum of LEDs. XR brings Intematix's total number of long wavelength phosphor offerings to six.

Long wavelength phosphors play a central role in extending the color range of LED applications like general lighting and displays including TVs, monitors and tablets. Intematix's product offering includes the XR, Ruby, LWR, ER and R red nitrides as well as the Orange silicate platform. The company holds over 400 patents and patent applications worldwide in LED lighting technology.

The XR red nitride takes a leading role in color stability with a less than perceptible 2SDCM measured color shift in accelerated aging testing making it a beneficial choice for the newest high power LED designs.

"This is our second Red Nitride phosphor product introduction in the last year," said Yi-Qun Li, Chief Technology Officer for Intematix. "We have a long innovation pipeline of phosphors targeted to increase the color quality, efficacy and reliability of LED lighting."
