Toshiba Electronics Europe has launched two collections of LED drivers, the 16-channel TC62D748 and TC62D749, which deliver constant currents between 1.5 and 90mA and offer high-speed serial data transfer rates up to 25MHz.   Both of them are designed for the control of LED modules and LED displays built around multiple LED strings.

A performance art group, Phase 7, has debuted their brand new interactive LED installation in Berlin, which brings LED lighting effects to the ground itself, which will interact with those who step on it. It's said that Phase 7 created something like this back in 2008. And this time, the performance group has unveiled the Onskebronn, which is Norwegian for 'wishing well.'

Korea-based LED lighting maker Seoul Display introduces its high quality LED light bulbs. Its LED light bulbs are designed to minimize the damages from the heat. The driver is optimized for LEDs to give the longest life span. The separation of the driver and the LED modules protects from heat building up.

The research which are comprise of John Rogers from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), as well as scientists from China, Singapore and South Korea, Chemistry World reports, have jointly developed flexible sheets of LED devices, that can be safely inserted under the skin to produce glowing tattoos. In order to make the LED arrays flexible, the team selected to use a low cost, flexible, biocompatible polymer as a substrate. Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) seemed like an obvious choice.

The company completed retrofitting for Ocean Palms and helped the condominium association to bring down its energy bills by almost 29%.

Taiwan BenQ launched three new 24” LED backlight monitors including a 3D model, aiming at the models at the home, business and gaming markets in Australia. This 120 Hz monitor outputs two sets of images at 6Hz which are then synchronised using 3D glasses. Native resolution is 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resulting in most output files being supported. The monitor that comes with a solid stand that slides up and down on a pole allows the display screen to be easily adjusted to a suitable height.

London's Samuel Wilkinson has designed blown glass LED lamps, the Vessel Series 01-03 collection to accommodate the artistic LED bulb creations from Hulger. This Vessel Series 01-03 includes two lamps that can be used either as a pendant or hanging lamp plus a table light.

According to the report of CNA, the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) invested NT$18 million (US$586,800) to install more than 500 intelligent LED street lamps in three major parking lots in Sanchong City, Taiwan County, with the aim of cutting electricity consumption by at least 70% to promote green power. According to MOEA officials, the intelligent system will adjust the intensity of the lights by detecting the level of usage, such as the presence of pedestrians or vehicles, and thus reduce electricity consumption.

Philips Electronics India Ltd has released new range of LED consumer bulbs, a 5W retrofit bulb along with the 2W candle and 7WSpotlight bulbs for various lighting applications inside homes for the Indian market. According to the company, the new range of bulbs are not only upto 80% energy efficient compared to traditional  incandescent bulbs but also are capable of producing better quality and more versatile lighting and has life of about 15 years.

Two SUPERVALU stores in Southern California has recently renovated with Acuity Brands'Lithonia Lighting®RTLEDTM system. It's said that SUPERVALU began a trial using the Lithonia Lighting RTLED at the end of 2009 in its Chestnut Hill Star Market in Newton, MA. Meanwhile, the Star Market served as a test ground for installing LED lighting and is the first grocery store in the nation entirely lit with LEDs.

Philips has launched 15 models of LEDs, 8 models of LCDs and 5 models of ultra slim TVs, which it said would redefine the premium television market in India. The price range of the LED TVs starts from Rs.26,500, while that of LCD TVs from Rs.16,499. The price range for ultra slim TVs starts from Rs.5,290. According to the company, it also will launch its flat panel TV range under the flagship model Cinema 21:9 TV, world's first cinema proportion 3D LED pro TV with ambilight.

LG Electronics has launched a 72-inch 3-D-equipped LED TV in the South Korea market. The new LED TV model features the largest screen among the 3-D LED TVs available in the market. The new product is priced at 20 million won (US$17,825). According to the company spokesman Park Young-shin, the 72-inch TV will be launched in the global market early in 2011.

Green RG Management, LLC (Green RG) has given Green Energy Management (GEM) a license to market exclusively and distribute patented and proprietary LED technology (the "Technology"). America Energy Conservation Program of the Navy has installed 120 W EvoLucia LED street lights. It's the first major government order for Sunovia. The General Services Administration contract was awarded in earlier 2010. A marine base in North Carolina called Camp Lejeune was the first government customer of Sunovia. And Camp Lejeune had installed the EvoLucia LED streetlights in the campus in December, 2009.

TDK Corp showed flexible and see-through passive matrix OLED panels at Ceatec Japan 2010 from Oct 5 to 9, 2010.   According to TDK, the flexible OLED panel is as thin as 0.3mm or less. The weights of the color-display and monochrome-display models are 1.11g and 0.96g, respectively.
