LG Electronics Plans to Form OLED TV Partnerships with Chinese and Japanese Firms

News Source:

LG Electronics has recently announced plans of partnering up with Chinese and Japanese companies to make OLED display TVs more mainstream, according to a Reuters report.

The company has declined to name the companies or what the partnership would entail.

While some Chinese TV manufacturers including Skyworth Digital Holdings and Konka Group have turned to OLED, analysts have noted the technology needs to be more widely adopted before it can take off.

OLED TVs remain costly, with some manufacturers turning to cheaper quantum dot TVs.
