For those who are interested in creative ideas and innovative technology concepts, the “LED – Emotionalize your light” idea contest to be started online this May will offer an exciting opportunity. Via an easy submission procedure, the participants can put their own light design online, and all the participants will have the chance to win valuable prizes amounting to 7000€.

Supported by the light producer OSRAM and Siemens AG, the online idea contest is designed to invite international light and design lovers to share their ideas in light designs using LED technology as well as innovative and emotional mood light concepts. And feasible light solution ideas which are easy to implement and affordable for everyone will be most valued in this competition.

With the help of an easy to use submission procedure, ideas of the participants can be contributed, described with simple application scenarios and extended by designs or technical solutions. All participants of the competition have the chance to win valuable prizes amounting to 7000€.

The competition will be starting online at May 8th, 2009 and will run until the end of July 2009. The contest is divided into two phases. In the first phase, new ideas and designs are collected and discussed by the community. And the best designs and ideas will be presented and jointly advanced by the community in the second phase. The most active community members in each phase can receive valuable non-cash prizes.

The selection considers community and expert evaluations and will be based on creativity, innovation and emotionality of the submitted ideas.
