Mr. Sermsakul Klaikaew, PEA Governor stated that apart from the duty to supply and distribute electricity, PEA also has the responsibility to encourage the efficient use of energy, together with the development of energy-saving technology to achieve the sustainable energy consumption for the future. One of the executions to carry out these missions is the “PEA presents EcoLightTech Asia 2015”. This trade show is held consecutively for 3 years in a row to follow the international roadmap of the United Nations that designated the year 2015 as the “International Year of Light and Light-Based Technologies” in order to raise the awareness of the global community in the importance of light for daily and future living. The roadmap also aims at environmental conservation, holistic energy saving, correct and practical energy-saving steps for industry which is the foundation of sustainable social and national development. PEA aims to use these events as regional models for energy-saving technology events, and to elevate Thailand as the hub of energy-efficient technologies and innovations, pushing Thai industry to a compete in the approaching  ASEAN economy in this December.

Mr. Sakchai Pattarapreechakul, Managing Director of NCC Group added that this year N.C.C. Exhibition Organizer Co., Ltd. as the main organizer of these shows received so positive feedback from exhibitors around the world who are interested in displaying their innovations that the 3,000-squaremeter showcase area is fully booked. The expected number of visitors is 5,000 from countries such as the Netherlands, Japan, China, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, the UAE, France, and Thailand. The revenue from the trade during the show is estimated to be up to 200 million baht. The concept of today’s show “Energy-Saving Innovations and Technologies for Entrepreneurs” stems from the demand of industrial operators who wish to use less energy in order to reduce production cost, especially energy bills from lighting, air conditioning, cooling and other electrical appliances.

The “PEA presents EcoLightTech Asia 2015”, one of the shortlisted international exhibitions under ASEAN Rising Trade Show 2015 campaign by Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), will be held together with the other 2 new shows which are the “C-Tech 2015”, gathering all energy-saving products in cooling systems for instance cooler, air conditioner, and temperature controller for industrial operators, and the“SolarTech 2015 powered by TPVA”, comprising of all products, services, and counsel regarding solar energy for industrial sector. This is going to be a large platform for solar panel manufacturers, and manufacturing tools from leading exhibitors across the world. These three shows, consequently, will be the most comprehensive gathering of all cutting-edged technologies and innovations for energy saving that best suits the demand of operators who wish to prepare for the future competition.

Interesting highlights in the shows are, for example, Energy-Saving Showcase, an exhibitionspace for various technologies and innovations in energy saving that visitors can apply in real life, Energy-Saving Conference and Workshops, where over 10 interesting topics in energy will be discussed, and visitors can attend free of charge, and Energy-Saving Advice Clinic, a counseling center for operators, and those who are interested in energy cost reduction for both households and industries.

Dr. Dusit Krua-ngam, the President of the Thai Photovoltaic Industries Association said that the cooperation between the Thai Photovoltaic Industries Association and NEO to hold the“SolarTech 2015 powered by TPVA” is a good sign for new entrepreneurs, and businesspeople who wish to learn and start business in solar energy, to directly negotiate with manufacturers and plant owners. At the same time, manufacturers or distributors who wish to expand markets could take this opportunity to present their products, innovations, or technologies in solar energy to target customers from different industries. Most importantly, the ultimate objective of this show is to strengthen Thai entrepreneurs’ potential in production budget management, especially in terms of energy, in order to create profit and sustainable business growth.
