Epistar and Kaistar Conclude LED Filament Patents License

EPISTAR announced it has reached agreement with KAISTAR lighting (Xiamen) Co., Ltd.(Kaistar). The LED filament bulb products of Kaistar and its subsidiaries are licensed under Epistar’s filament patents.

Epistar holds key intellectual property regarding the LED filament technology used in making LED filament bulbs. The LED filament patents relate to, among other things, LED filament structure(s), and light-emitting product(s) using LED filament(s). This patent portfolio covers Taiwan, China, United States, Europe and other territories.

IP right is crucial to technology development and EPISTAR expects the industry to recognize and respect its importance. To protect its rights and the interests of customers, strategic alliance partners and shareholder, Epistar will take action as it is deemed necessary.
