UV-LED-based Water Disinfection Module by Acuva Technologies Receives Certification

The Canada UVC-LED water disinfection technology provider, Acuva Technologies announced that its Strike Platform has been certified by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) and become the world first UV-LED drinking water disinfection module platform.

The UV-LED water disinfection module platform complies with a pair of key standards including NSF/ANSI 55 Ultraviolet Microbiological Water Treatment Systems for Material Safety and Structural Integrity, and NSF/ANSI 372 Drinking Water System Components. Using its patented IntenseBeam technology, Acuva is able to create a controlled optical environment that maximizes UV-LED disinfection efficiency to optimize performance. Its compact form factor can be integrated into almost all appliances that require a purified water source.

Acuva’s proprietary technology, developed in partnership with the University of British Columbia, purifies drinking water with microbial disinfection rates up to 99.9999% to ensure health and safety. By integrating Acuva’s chemical-free water disinfection technology, free from mercury or lead contamination risks, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) enter a new era of innovation for their products.

Designed specifically with unique OEM requirements in mind, the Strike Module Platform provides tailored UV-LED water purification solutions for point-of-use applications. With variable lengths and an LED-agnostic design that maximizes available LED power to desired disinfection and flow rate, Acuva’s enable integration into a vast array of consumer and commercial appliances.
