There were few innovative breakthrough technologies at this year’s Light+Building show organized by Messe Frankfurt that concluded last Friday in Frankfurt, Germany, manufacturers were more focused on optimizing existing technology. Still LEDinside observed several trends that stood out:

Soraa's wirelessly controlled PAR30L LED lamp provides users a variety of customizable remote functions including dimming, control of lamps in user-defined groups, and user-designed preset lighting scenes.

Plessey Semiconductors announced it will be featured in a new website showcasing 21st century British manufacturing which will be launched 23rd April at a high-profile event in London.

The upcoming LED technology will be GaN-on-GaN LEDs, affirmed Nobel Laureate in Physics Shuji Nakamura and fellow colleague at University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) Professor Steven DenBaars at an exclusive forum hosted by Taiwanese leading chip LED manufacturer Epistar on Wednesday at the company headquarters in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
