Former BMW Digital Units Head Dieter May to be CEO of Osram Opto Semiconductors

Osram has continued its company profile sharpening and appointed Dieter May, who has served as Senior Vice President of the Digital Services and Business Models unit for the BMW Group, as the new CEO of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business unit. May will begin its position to lead the LED division of Osram since May 1, 2019, taking over the management from Aldo Kamper, the previous CEO of Osarm Opto Semiconductors who became CEO of Germany’s Leoni AG after he left Osram in August 2018.
