Osram Reports a Robust Start for Fiscal 1Q20

After a year of ups and downs, Osram announced that it has kicked off its 2020 with slightly grown revenue and profit for the first quarter of its fiscal year.

Business segment Opto Semiconductors performed stably with revenue amounted EUR 359 million (US$ 395 million). The German company closed the buyout and was sold to Austrian sensor maker AMS with EUR 4.6 billion (US$ 5 billion) in December 2019. The two companies are still processing the merger and expect to finish it in the summer 0f 2020.
