San’an Opto Receives RMB 12M Subsidy from Tianjin Government

San’an Opto has decided to allocate a total of RMB 500 million ($80.03 million) to three subsidiaries including Anhui San’an Opto, Tianjin San’an Opto, and Xiamen San’an Opto for production expansion, according to a latest company announcement.

Tianjin San’an Opto received RMB 12 million subsidy for four new GaAs MOCVD equipment from Tianjin Binhai Hi-tech Industrial Development Area management committee on Dec. 18, 2014. The company’s GaAs products include high power flip chip products, invisible LED lights, LED grow lights, microwave components, and High-Concentration Solar Photovoltaic (HCPV) cells. The manufacturing base covers R&D, production and sales.

The newly acquired GaAs MOCVD equipment are already in production.

According to China’s business accounting regulations, the subsidies received by Tianjin San’an Opto will be listed as deferred income.
