LED-backlit LCD monitors sold 125,000 units in 3Q10 in Taiwan

In Taiwan market, it’s said that the sales of LED-backlit LCD monitor in 3Q10 reached 125,000 units, with a 25% share in the overall local LCD monitor market. While In 1Q10, the sales were only 26,000 units and up to 30,000 units in 2Q10, with less than 10% share .

ViewSonic became the leading vendor of LED-backlit monitors in Taiwan, with 30,000 units shipment in 3Q10. The second was Chimei, which shipped around 26,000 units in 3Q10. Both Asustek Computer and AOC followed, with around 15,000 units respectively, meanwhile Acer and BenQ each shipped about 13,000 units.

Market sources expected that overall LED-backlit monitor shipments would continue to increase in 4Q and account for 50% of the total monitor market.
