Maxim provides LED drivers with PWM intensity control for applications. Using the serial interface to send the LED driver a command to change the register bits for the corresponding LED，the intensity can be normally controlled. IXYS Corp. has introduced the LDS8710/11, LDS8720/24/26 LED drivers to eliminate the external Schottky diode normally used in the rectification loop. The LDS8710 drives a string of 10 LEDs with factory-preset maximum LED current values of 20-, 25- and 30mA with 1% accuracy, and uses pulse-width modulation dimming to adjust LED brightness.
