Recently, City of LOS ANGELES has completed a five-year LED replacement of all traffic lights and pedestrian signals. According to Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the LEDs are about 85 percent more efficient than traditional lights, and the conversion will save the city about $4 million annually.
