VTRON Brings to Light VLED-II Video Wall

VTRON, a chinese LED video display manufacturer under the Wei Chong Group, recently launched the VLED-II video wall, in which VTRON adopted COB (chip-on-board) technology encapsulating LEDs right onto the PCB to result in a smooth surface, reported LIGHTimes Online.

The VLED-II series, featuring VTRON’s state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies, presents not only a flawlessly smooth surface but decent image quality and low dead pixel rate. It comes in three pixel pitches- 1.2mm, 1.5mm, and 1.8mm. LEDs in the video wall are densely packed, forming a image of high uniformity. By giving a finish of matte coating on the display surface, VTRON enables the VLED-II series when powered and lighting up to produce softer images and rids of light radiation, disturbing interference patterns namely the moire effect, and glare. The matte coating also helps reduce eye strain after a long-term viewing.

For large scale displaying, VLED-II modules are able to provide a seamless image when tiled together.

VTRON contends that during the production it upgrades circuitry, optical, and thermal design and the fabrication process for the video walls does not adopt electroplating, reflow soldering, or mounting. The refinement therefore translates to a finer VLED-II display unit with the lowest dead pixel rate in comparison to a traditional LED display.

The second generation VLED series sustains a longer product lifetime than its predecessor does as well. Since the size of LEDs used in the VLED-II display modules is larger, the LEDs produce higher brightness and allow even heat dissipation. VTRON asserts the second generation modules barely have light attenuation; hence no problem maintaining a consistent brightness. In terms of power consumption, the VLED-II is said to be much more energy efficient than its equivalents.
