Silvair became a technology provider for Demand Lighting, a manufacturer-direct supplier of commercial LED products for smart lighting applications. This experienced lighting solutions provider will be using Silvair’s interoperable lighting control solution to integrate the Bluetooth mesh networking standard into its range of luminaires for lighting retrofit customers.

"Demand Lighting is excited to be the first to offer this technology via the Silvair Platform to customers in the US.” says Marie McGrath, CEO of Demand Lighting. “Our customers will have access to a complete set of tools allowing them to wirelessly configure, control and manage their lighting environment in order to reduce their energy costs, manage and track assets as well as provide for the well being of their stakeholders. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to lighting via the Bluetooth mesh technology that will serve as a backbone for IT infrastructure."

Moreover, Murata and McWong, manufacturers of high-quality lighting components used in advanced lighting control systems, are about to start full production of Silvair empowered devices. The products are scheduled to be available on the American market at the beginning of Q3 2018. This will be an important step for the lighting revolution driven by the Bluetooth mesh technology to take place globally.

Following a great interest in Bluetooth mesh by the industry professionals, Danlers, Fulham and the above-mentioned McWong, some of the leading lighting component manufacturers, will be expanding their lines of products empowered by Silvair’s technology. The devices will be presented at LIGHTFAIR® International 2018.

As a result of component manufacturers’ engagement in the Bluetooth mesh ecosystem, LumEfficient, a luminaire manufacturer focused on delivering high-end LED solutions, will be developing new lighting fixtures using McWong lighting components. LumEfficient’s products will be ready-to-use interoperable solutions designed for smart lighting applications.

Ledeshi and Alphabet Lighting (LEDRAbrands), developers of high-quality LED lighting solutions, are yet another luminaire manufacturer who will be using Silvair empowered components during the production of their LED lighting fixtures. Therefore, the market will soon be enhanced by a significant number of LED luminaires using a qualified Bluetooth mesh based technology.

“Having so many new and long-time partners deeply involved in the development of the interoperable ecosystem driven by the Bluetooth mesh technology is truly remarkable. It not only confirms that Bluetooth mesh standard is a highly desirable solution enabling cross-vendor interoperability but also gives us a glimpse on the future of smart lighting” says Rafal Han, CEO of Silvair. “We cannot wait to present the expanded range of the new generation products empowered by Silvair’s technology at Lightfair International 2018. This will be a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate the power of a lighting control solution based on the qualified Bluetooth mesh.”
