Panasonic Develops Thermosetting Moulded Plastics to Improve Reflectivity of LED Light

When reflective material is used for LCD backlighting, because the brightness of the LED and the temperature gradually increases, it will cause yellowing phenomenon, which will led to light reflectivity recession. Panasonic launched a kind of thermosetting molded plastic FULL BRIGHT (Model: CE6000W) for LED white reflector cup, which can increase the reflectivity of light. Currently Panasonic has begun the production of samples. This thermosetting moulded plastic is expected to be put into mass production in the second half of 2013.

Under the high temperatures and UV environment for a long time, this new material still can maintain the superior light reflectivity. In the future, Panasonic will apply it into the high brightness LED lamps, LCD monitor backlight, industrial equipments, outdoor devices and automotive applications.
