“House of Wonders“ at Munich Modern Art and Design Museum Lit up with LEDs

The new Scriptus LED luminaire from Osram already underscores its aspirations upon its launch at the Pinakothek der Moderne. The indoor luminaire was selected for the "House of Wonders" design exhibition by Werner Aisslinger currently to be seen in the Pinakothek der Moderne art and design museum in Munich, Germany. Together with an OLED luminaire survey, two contributions from Osram have thus managed to centrally enrich the exhibition of the internationally renowned designer.

The OLED luminaire survey marked the beginning of working together with Werner Aisslinger in 2013, and this formed the core of the Osram fair stand in 2014 at the world's largest fair for light, Light & Building. Based on this, further surveys followed concerning the "language of material and design in the office world of tomorrow". This cooperation with Aisslinger now hits its first high point with the market launching of the new and wide-ranging Scriptus family of LED luminaires.

The designer based in Berlin developed a new, architecturally sophisticated project for the paternoster hall of the New Collection in the Pinakothek der Moderne. Werner Aisslinger is a furniture designer concerned with the design and equipping of residential and work spaces, and his designs are characterized by aspects such as sustainability, upcycling, material innovation and indoor farming. For the exhibition taking place from 11.11.2016 to 17.09.2017 Aisslinger has transformed the museum's paternoster hall into an interactive "house of wonders". He displays a residential vision that incorporates the current, ambivalent topic of big data.

The Scriptus office luminaire designed by the Aisslinger studios features a modern, progressive design as well as outstanding efficiency and quality of light.

"Aspects of design are becoming increasingly important for tomorrow's office worlds," emphasized Thomas Kausen, Strategic Head of the office sector at Osram Lighting Solutions. In today's world of LED technology, premium optical concepts and light management have long been a matter of course for providing efficient light according to needs. The well-being of people is also being increasingly focused on in the development of lighting solutions, and Human Centric Lighting (HCL) solutions are becoming ever more important. These consist of lighting installations focusing on the needs of people and consist of e.g. modifiable light colors to support the biological rhythm. HCL solutions begin however with the compliance to normative requirements and a modern, holistic design, as the look and feel of a luminaire can also positively influence the well-being of users. "In view of this development we're particularly pleased to show the capabilities of two design solutions of this quality at such an important location," said Kausen.
