Genesis Photonics Maintains Superior Operations in September

Taiwanese LED wafer manufacturer Genesis Photonics has benefited from the drive in demands. Performance in the 3Q was outstanding with July and August revenue maintained at around NT$ 360 million, a utilization standard of 80-90 percent. September revenue is expected to be a driver for lighting product line deliveries and maintain a high level.

July and August combined revenue for Genesis was NT$ 360million and NT$ 366 million respectively, a record high for the company. September continues to benefit from LED lighting product line deliveries and maintains a utilization rate of 80-90 percent. It is predicted that the revenue for this month will continue to perform well.

Current LED product revenue for Genesis accounts for 50 percent of the total company’s revenue, 20-25 percent from LED TV large-sized backlight and 20-25 percent from small-sized backlights used in smart phones and tablet computers. Due to Genesis large-sized backlight revenue accounting for 20-25 percent of the company’s total revenue, 3Q felt a limited affect by the decline in Chinese LED TV deliveries. Comparatively, 3Q LED lighting deliveries continued to be good. September utilization rate continues to maintain around 80-90 percent and it is estimated that the revenue for the month will maintain a good performance.
