Yankon Group's Independent Director Resigns

A chair member of listed Chinese LED manufacturer Zhejiang Yankon Group (Yankon) has recently resigned, stated the company in a recent press release.

Independent Director Shao Yiping has resigned from the board, and a new successor will be elected at an upcoming shareholders meeting.

According to the statement, Shao has stepped down from her duties as the board’s independent director, audit committee member, and salary review committee. She will no longer be holding any company positions after her resignation.

Born in 1963, Shao has been a professor and mentor for graduate students. She was previously an associate professor at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics Accounting Department, and is currently the head of the university’s human resource department. Aside from her role at Yankon Group, she also is an accounting consultant and committee member for several Zhejiang Province accounting committees.
