World Largest LED Plant Grow Factory Built in Japan

Japanese Miriai Co. Ltd. Recently has built the world largest’s LED plant grow factory with LED lighting built-in to realize plants photosyhthesis. With a factory of  800 square meters, the LED plant grow factory now can produce 10,000 lettuces per day.

By means of LED lighting, this factory can realize various plants growing during growth phases. In accordance with different vegetative phases. At the initial stage of growth, for example, the whitening light mixed by red and white LED light can enhance photosynthesis; and then in the fast growing periods, when plants are illuminated by red light mixed by red and blue LED light, the leaves and roots growth can be promoted. Instead of fluorescent lamps lighting, LED lighting can reduce 40% on electricity consumption and improve the throughout by 50%.

In Japan, Agriculture has become one of the most complicated issues to be solved. Transformation in agriculture is at the turning point. A long-awaited plan is within the reach. LED light for vegetables and plants growth can generate safer and more productive grains and food, which is one new way to sustain agriculture development and realize agriculture commercialization in Japan.

LEDs In Plant Factories Makes Plants Grow Regardless of Season

LED growlight is an artificial light which is able to replace the sun light. It is composed with the most efficient wavelengths. Moreover, the luminosity and the wavelengths are adjustable simply with using switch on the both upper and lower shelf. Cultivating under LED lighting, vegetables and plants can utilize different wavelengths to promote its faster growth at any moment with no influence of seasonal variation. Through mimicking the natural environment that is fitting to plantings, with the special LED grow light to illuminate the whole greenhouse and offer various wavelengths for plants , green vegetables and plants can conduct photosynthesis as successfully as under normal condition. So it is much more productive compared with traditional plantation.

LED Plant Grow Light generates Safe and Nutritious Food

Moreover, it is said by some researchers that LED lights can raise safer and more nutritious grain without adopting any chemical substance. However, there is doubting that food living in LED lighting is organic or nutrition enough and as for which, researchers suggested that grains under LED grow light is much nutritious and safer than that planted of chemicals. To replace sunlight with LED light, the intensity of nitrite residue can reach up to 2,000ppm, which is lower than conventional greenhouse farming. Concerning the micro elements and nutrients, it can be solved by manual work. That is to say, the food and plants produced in LED grow light factory is much healthier and fits for human consumption.
