DEADLINE EXTENDED: Next Generation Lighting Systems 2017 Competition

The 2017 Next Generation Lighting Systems (NGLS) Competition was announced in January, with a new focus on specific applications and an expanded evaluation process that involves installations in real-world settings.

Competition One focuses exclusively on connected lighting systems and offers entrants an opportunity to participate in ongoing evaluations over the coming months.

The response to the new NGLS competition has been positive, and industry inputs and feedback have helped modify and clarify some of the competition requirements. In particular, modifications have been made related to the requirements for luminaire-integrated controls.

With these modifications, more systems may be eligible for the first competition and manufacturers are encouraged to review the changes on the NGLS website.

The complete entrant guide is now posted on the NGLS website, and the intent to submit deadline is March 14, 2017
