Kobi Electric Launches LED Construction Down Lights

Kobi Electric, a leading commercial and industrial energy efficient lighting manufacturer headquartered in Texas, has introduced New Construction Down Lights intended to provide an energy efficient, long-lasting LED alternative for new construction.

The New Construction Down Lights are a combination of housing and trim lights used in lieu of traditional recessed can incandescent and compact fluorescent lamps. The Kobi Electric New Construction Down Lights maintain the look of the recessed can but allows the use of LED from the very beginning of the electrical installation.

The New Construction Down Lights feature instant brightness and are dimmable from 0 -10V while performing 80% more energy efficiently than traditional incandescent and compact fluorescent lighting. Combined with the mounting brackets, the fixtures provide an all-in-one LED solution for recessed down lighting.

Dimming is a critical function for energy efficiency controls required in several states like California where energy efficiency is a top priority. Being dimmable allows lighting controls to be implemented to adjust light levels automatically based on the time of day or activity, meaning a structure will ultimately reduce energy consumption and cost.

“This new product offering represents another advancement for Kobi Electric to be a leading lighting manufacturer in every market segment and offer products to accommodate the changing needs of the market,” said Kobi Electric president Nick Peragine. “The Kobi Electric name has become synonymous with high value, high performance products and the New Construction Down Lights reflect our ongoing commitment to improving energy efficient lighting. The designs allow these LED lamps to adapt to virtually any new construction circumstance and provide an energy efficient, low maintenance light source with a polished appearance.”

The New Construction Down Lights are available in 4-inch, 6-inch and 8-inch recessed cans that last up to 35,000 hours and dramatically lower maintenance costs compared to conventional incandescent bulbs and compact fluorescent bulbs. Additionally, the fixtures are mercury and lead free as well as UV and IR free and are rated for damp conditions.
