Nichia Corporation (“Nichia”) announces that the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has affirmed a district court decision holding that Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd. and Everlight Americas, Inc. (collectively, “Everlight”) have infringed three Nichia patents.

During the 2017 Chief Analyst Market Seminar, held by LEDinside and CNLED on February 20th, when asked about the future of automotive LED lighting, C.W. Mid-power LEDs have become a mainstream product in the LED package sector, showing strong growth in the market over the past few years. The global lighting market scale is estimated to reach US $3.74 billion by 2020, and it is projected mid-power LEDs will comprise the majority stake in the market due to its high reliability and performance, estimated LEDinside.
