ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual and edtech solutions, announced that the company’s LDE Series of All-in-One Direct View LED Displays have been selected as the winner of the “Education Hardware Innovation Award” in the 8th annual EdTech Breakthrough Awards program conducted by EdTech Breakthrough, a leading market intelligence organization that recognizes the top companies and solutions in the global educational technology market.
Designed to make large display experiences easier to deliver, the LDE Series pairs immersive visuals with built-in simplicity. It is a fully integrated, pre-configured dvLED display solution that elevates visual communication across various education environments such as lecture halls, student unions, hallways, and auditoriums. The All-in-One dvLED solution simultaneously delivers all essential systems like power, control, and image stitching, directly into the hardware. The LDE Series is up to 28 percent lighter than comparable models, reducing the need for extensive structural reinforcements during installation. 600 nits of brightness and a bezel-less design allow the LDE Series to foster learning equity and visual clarity.
“We’re honored to receive the “Education Hardware Innovation Award” from EdTech Breakthrough, which reinforces our mission to transform education environments through innovative visual solutions,” said Jeff Muto, Business Line Director at ViewSonic. “We designed the LDE Series to address the complexity that can result from a traditional dvLED display. This series is an All-in-One solution that comes with power, processing, and controls built into the cabinets, so that installation stays straightforward, daily use is smooth, and maintenance is minimal.”
“The ViewSonic LDE Series transforms traditional education environments. Many display solutions focus solely on the classroom, but campuses are looking to modernize with large-format displays that also serve as communication hubs for everyone. However, technology that is both durable and reliable enough to support a 24/7 environment usually comes with complex infrastructure and high costs,” said Steve Johansson, managing director, EdTech Breakthrough. “ViewSonic’s products ensure that everyone has clear access to content. This series proves that professional grade dvLED technology can be accessible, easy to maintain, and valuable to a modern campus.”
With advanced Glue-on-Board (GOB) technology, the LDE Series achieves an IP54 dust and moisture rating and a high IK06 impact rating that safeguards the screen. Its durable design allows critical campus information and student-led content to remain visible and vibrant without frequent technical disruptions. The series integrates into the Q-SYS Ecosystem via a Q-SYS LIBRARY VERIFIED plugin. It is available in multiple sizes, including 108-, 136-, and 163-inch, allowing flexibility for various layouts.
The EdTech Breakthrough Awards program returns for its 8th annual cycle with its largest and most competitive field yet, drawing a record number of nominations from innovators across more than 20 countries. The program is dedicated to recognizing breakthrough educational technology products and companies reshaping how the world learns – in classrooms, campuses, boardrooms and beyond. Thousands of entries were evaluated across a wide range of categories spanning the full edtech spectrum, including Student Engagement, Classroom Management, School Administration, Adaptive Learning, STEM Education, Corporate Learning, Career Preparation, Language Learning and many more.
