Electro Velvet Light up Eurovision Stage with LED Costumes

Electro Velvet is a musical duo consisting of Alex Larke and Bianca Nicholas. They will represent the UK in the 60th Eurovision Song Contest, performing Still In Love With You, an up tempo electro-swing song penned by David Mindel and Adrian Bax White.

Eight duos are competing in this year's contest, and so far we have seen and heard seven of them rehearse at the Wiener Stadthalle. Electro Velvet, representing the United Kingdom, are the final duo to take to the stage for their first rehearsal.

The outfits will light up in neon during the performance; in the case of the backing girls it is around the collar and hoops of their dresses, and with the men it is their belts and braces, and down the seams of their trousers.

The background LED screens evoke the period of the song, and light up and pulse with the beat of the song. During the parts of the song where the costumes light up, the background LED is darker in tone. At one point there are fan shapes.

According to a report from Digital Spy, the UK duo have been very excited about their costumes, saying: "The whole Eurovision experience has been illuminating for us, and we can't wait to literally light up on stage in front of the entire world - it's going to be electric!”

Guy Freeman, BBC's head of delegation of Eurovision, added: "The creative team behind the concept have been working exceptionally hard to ensure that the United Kingdom has a visually stunning and memorable performance on the night of the grand final, and we can't wait for the world to see it."

Appropriately enough towards the end of the song Still In Love With You, the LED screen displays heart shaped pulsing lights.

There are a couple of pyro effects during the song, including at the very end.

The 2015 Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final will be hosted on Saturday (May 23) in Vienna.
