Whether a breakdown on the motorway, stranded vehicles on country roads or maintenance work at the roadside: in critical situations, visibility is the key to safety. With the new OSRAM LEDguardian® ROAD FLARE Signal TA20 NXT, ams OSRAM is launching a modern, TA20 certified warning light that significantly increases visibility and can help to prevent serious secondary accidents. Complementing this, OSRAM Automotive is introducing the new OSRAM BATTERYcharge 1000 series, a range of smart battery chargers that help to reliably charge vehicle batteries and thereby reduce breakdown situations from the outset.
360° visibility for increased safety: LEDguardian® ROAD FLARE Signal TA20 NXT
The LEDguardian® ROAD FLARE Signal TA20 NXT is a 360° flashing, TA20 certified warning light with road approval in accordance with §53a StVZO. In Germany, it may be used in addition to a warning triangle to make stationary vehicles and people at the roadside visible much earlier.¹
The TA20 NXT was developed for situations where instant visibility is crucial – for example in the event of breakdowns, at the end of traffic jams, during inspection and maintenance work on vehicles or for short term safeguarding measures on the carriageway and side strips. Thanks to its magnetic function, it can be quickly and securely mounted on the vehicle roof, ensuring maximum visibility from all directions. Its compact design ensures that the warning light fits easily into the glove compartment and is immediately at hand in an emergency.
Powerful light and robust features
The TA20 NXT’s orange 360° flashing warning light is visible from up to 1,000 meters away. Eighteen durable, high performance LEDs deliver a powerful 360° warning signal that alerts other road users to a hazardous situation at an early stage – even in poor visibility and weather conditions. With an operating time of usually more than 15 hours, the TA20 NXT is designed both for private use in passenger cars and for commercial applications, for example in fleets, commercial and service vehicles. USB C charging makes power supply particularly simple and flexible. An integrated battery status indicator provides timely information about a low charge level, supporting reliable deployment planning.
The OSRAM LEDguardian® ROAD FLARE Signal TA20 NXT remains ready for action even in harsh conditions: it is water and dust resistant in accordance with protection class IP54 and thus suitable for operation in rain, snow, fog and dusty environments. Its non slip, dirt repellent surface makes handling even easier – especially when every second counts.
Intelligent charging for greater mobility: the new OSRAM BATTERYcharge 1000 series
With the new BATTERYcharge 1000 series, ams OSRAM is expanding its battery accessories portfolio with a complete range of intelligent chargers that cover everyday charging and maintenance needs across all common vehicle types. At launch, three models are available, following a clear step up logic based on vehicle type and charging requirements: BATTERYcharge 1002 and 1005 are designed for 6 V and 12 V batteries and therefore ideal for motorcycles and passenger cars, while BATTERYcharge 1010 targets passenger cars and heavy goods vehicles with support for both 12 V and 24 V systems.
BATTERYcharge 1002, a compact entry level unit with 2 A charging current and 6 V/12 V support, is ideal for motorcycles, smaller batteries and long term trickle charging. BATTERYcharge 1005 delivers more charging power for a wide range of applications from motorcycles to passenger cars. BATTERYcharge 1010, a high performance unit with 10 A, is tailored to larger 12 V batteries in passenger cars and vans and features a digital display for clear user guidance.
All three models are designed as smart, safe and easy to use charging solutions. They help to support battery lifetime and improve vehicle readiness. All devices come with a 2 year guarantee.²
