Forest Lighting Offers Affordable LED Lighting Solutions for Commercial Smart Lighting & Industrial Lighting Fixtures

Forest lighting, the brand name belonging to Chinese lighting giant MLS, was established in 2014. Thanks to continuous marketing and public relations efforts, the brand has gradually gained popularity among North American retailers and wholesalers, and has expanded its reach to emerging markets like Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Russia. At LIGHTFAIR International (LFI) 2017, Jian Ni, COO of Forest Lighting in North America, shared with LEDinside the development strategies of the brand.

Efficient, connected, dimmable and color-changing LED lights for commercial spaces

After three years developing the brand from scratch, Forest Lighting has built up a good reputation among U.S. retailers and wholesalers thanks to continuous marketing and public relations efforts, and has expanded its reach to emerging markets like Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Russia. At first, it focused mainly on consumer lighting products like T5 and T8 LED tubes, but has then shifted to LED replacement lamps including troffer lights and panel lights, as well as industrial lighting fixtures. To meet the needs of the U.S. market for energy efficient and high quality products, all LED lamps made by Forest Lighting, with efficiency reaching 100-110 lm/W, have earned both the Energy Star and DLC label.

Aside from energy efficient lamps, in line with the smart lighting trend, Forest Lighting also provides EnOcean-based LED lamps that enable wireless dimming. These devices have already been used in commercial lighting projects in the U.S.

In its commercial lighting product line, LED downlights, PAR 30 and PAR 38 LED lamps are also products that the brand has been promoting, which tout a CRI up to 90, Energy Star 2.0 certification and dimming function.

Actively tapping into the industrial lighting segment

After gaining success in retail and wholesale businesses and commercial lighting segment, Forest Lighting has also been requested to provide customized lighting solutions for industrial spaces, where the brand has poured considerable resources into developing advanced products that meet customers’ needs. Products on offer include high bay lights and LED wall washers that are installed in parking lots, garages and gas stations.

Ni emphasized that Forest Lighting has partnered with the top 10 U.S. electronics distributors, with over 600 sales locations across the states. He also expressed great confidence in the outlook of their lighting business, forecasting that revenue from lighting products will more than double in 2017. Over the next five years, Forest Lighting will continue to develop smart lighting technology and color temperature adjustable lights in a system-wise context. Through the support of innovative software, Forest Lighting aims to improve from controlling an individual fixture to managing all lights in a building at the same time.
